Decoding Archetypes, Breaking Barriers & Telling the World What We Think

We are not bullies, we are academics.

We are not jealous, we are conscious.

We are not making excuses, we are making evaluations.

We are not here to degrade, we are here to comment on what is degrading.

We are not the first and we are certainly not the last.

Because we, like all others that have, are and will walk this great Earth, can expand our minds, we can journey to new horizons, we can develop educated opinions and we can just as easily change them, but most importantly each of us comes from a limited background with limited mindsets that influence how we understand the world. We are not trying to create a rock-solid foundation of fact and belief, so much as develop the ability to be cognizant and thoughtful of the realities we move in and out of, through and around.

To think is to grow. To grow is to change. To change is to make a difference.

Fatal Femmes is a feminist media blog by Nicole Beck and Darragh Dandurand Friedman. Both are students at Temple University with an appreciation for what they do not yet understand and what they can learn from the world around them. With this blog, Nicole and Darragh hope to deconstruct music videos and movies, articles and archetypes, images and ideas. No one has to agree, and if you, as a reader, do not, please feel free to debate our point via comments. It makes the conversation all the more interesting!
